Summary
"Virtual Museum of Monsters" is an education project to encourage reading, creativity, ICT, collaborative work and the European identity. From children's literature dealing with monsters, the partner schools reach their goals through collaborative design of the monsters that will comprise the virtual museum, along with the stories to be written with these characters. Each school will also create a monster-pet, this will travel to all partner countries, with his/her passport and his/ her guestbook. The partners, in addition to the virtual museum will prepare multilingual dictionaries, will develop a "Monstrous Month" in the school library, will create a school cooperative project to sell merchandise and buy books for the library, will published newsletters and held an exhibition in collaboration with public libraries in their localities. The entire project will be reflected in a blog that serves the project of public presentation. This work will enhance the participation of students, their families and the whole school community in the educational activity.
The project can achieve two objectives more: to develop our educational models compared with our partners, to examine and compare the methodology of literacy in Nursery and Primary school.
The project provides children with activities that encourage them to "learn by doing"; they will be active subjects of their learning. Students will participate in the evaluation of the project.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
• Improve the reading skills of our pupils, from the earliest ages.
• Establish channels of cooperation between our school libraries and public libraries of our locations.
• Improve the knowledge that students and teachers have of Europe and the understanding and awareness of cultural and linguistic diversity.
• Encourage students acquire basic life skills and basic skills for personal development and the practice of an active citizenship.
• Improve the skill of collaboration and interdisciplinary ability in the educational use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) of the teachers and pupils.
• Increase the motivation of pupils and teachers to learn modern European languages.
• Increase self-esteem and confidence of all participants, enabling them to achieve new goals with new tools and with different learning contexts.

Integration into the learning activities
The project is integrated into the curriculum of the schools and the curriculum of each country. The teachers link the project to areas such as Mother Language, English, Knowledge of the world, ICT, Literature, Art and design and Personal and social training.
Mother tongue and English: Children will work verbal interaction and phonological awareness. They will experiment with different types of writing, including the collaborative creation. They will practice reading. Improvement in vocabulary will be reflected in multilingual dictionaries. They will contact with other languages and they will improve their knowledge of English.
Knowledge of the world: Essential skills will be developed for a more elaborated scientific thought, for understanding and integrating into the world. The project distinguishes basic time units, identifies differences and similarities, and orders temporal sequences.
ICT: Children will experiment with new forms of digital communication and learning. Information and pupils ‘works will be exhibit on the blog. Children of primary school will make video tutorials for the youngest ones about the use of the tools using Web 2.0.
Literature: They will know traditional and modern stories where the monsters are the stars. They will have a better idea about the work of writers and illustrators. They will be initiated as literary creators.
Art and design: Children will create their pet monsters. They will collaborate with partners to design monsters. Using various resources, they will turn their designs into plastic models.
Personal and Social Education: They will make activities essential to continue learning throughout their lives. They will develop curiosity about the world around them, asking questions and forming opinions about what they see, sharing ideas and knowledge and recognizing the contribution of others. They will break down fears and anxieties. They will achieve autonomy to plan activities and participate in individual and collective projects. They will recognize and respect the diversity of customs and cultures.
